E6400 or E6600

I have a choice of getting an intel core 2 duo E6400 and an 8800 gts or getting an E6600 and a 7950gt ko 512m, with 2gb which one would you guys recommend that I get? I just want it to able to burn a dvd and a game maxed out at the same time and have the computer last me two years or so since this is the last time I upgrade for awhile

Just huh? thats a pretty big just... I'd say go for both, purchase it with the pay it later option and dont regret either purchases :P 8800 gts + E6600.
 
I dont have enough money for the e6600 and 8800gts though but how much of a difference is there really between the e6600 and e6400
 
yep you wont regret it :) just bite your tongue and hold on until you have enough. the e6600 has a faster clock and has 4 mb of cache instead of 2.

oh find I guess I will get the E6600 and the 8800gts and have to wait some more:( btw how long does it take you to burn movies on the e6600 I basically will get the esact same setup as you
 
is not only the cpu since you're actually grabbing the image from the hdd as well as instructions stored on ram so is mainly the whole setup but my burner is a 16x so anywhere from 7-10 minutes.

no no I mean how long does it take to encode not the burning time
