Video Card Overheating

I've been trying to play some games lately and the textures in map will flicker black after a few minutes of playing. I tried updating all sorts of drivers - nothing worked. I opened my case just for the hell of it and I touched the video card and it was very hot. So I checked the temps of my video card and I got approximately 75 degrees at idle desktop and about 105 degrees while under graphical stress. I checked all the fans and they are all on as normal. I checked my CPU and it was at a nice low temp. no problems there. The temperatures for my video card are way to high and I am 99% sure thats why I am having texture flickering. I am going to bring it into a shop to get it fixed if I cant figure it out soon. Anyways if anyone has any suggestions I'd be glad to hear them.

I guess I should add that I've had this computer for 2 years and I've never had this problem untill now.

My Specs

3500+ AMD 64
eVGA 6800GT
MSI K8N NEO nforce 3 chipset
160gb hd
1gb ram

if you had this computer and these same specs for 2 years and only now this is happening, then your video card had a short. A jumper or pin has melted or some type of small physical damage has been created. No real way of fixing this except to buy a new video card.

Sorry

If you have an ATI video card, then download ati tool and drop your memory clockspeed 50-100 mhz and see if that fixes the textures. Then try dropping the core clock if the previous method didnt work. Chances are you wont be able to fix it though.

Is 105 degrees in Fahrenheit or Celsius?
