Setting passwaor for a folder

but will i hav to unrar it when i want to access to the folder ?

Sort of...the folder will need to be opened in winRAR, and to access the files, it will unrar them, but you won't need to be constantly raring and unraring the files yourself...it does it for you. Just try it out, if you don't like it, uninstall it and find something else.

How do you compress a folder into .RAR, I have a folder called "secret spy plans" and I don't want my parents to see it.

ok little 2 much infor buty anyways just instead of locking it hide it, right click on it and say hiddena nd unclick read only, apply it 2 all sub folders and assuming your paretns arent smart with computers they wont find it, to view them again go to my documents or any window pretty much and go tool folder options and your file appears again, and just repeat the last step to hide them again, its easy

or make a document you can lock microsoft word docs

ooooookay. I've changed your folder name because that's going to give me nightmares :P

Next, just delete the stuff if you don't want them to see it. Although with XP, assuming they are not set up as administrators you could put it in your documents folder which is locked to anyone who isn't an admin or you.

WinRAR has shell integration options as well, you just have to right click and say add to .rar, you can rename it when it's done.
