Intel, AMD, etc? probably like the E6300, 6400 or something like that. If you just want the best CPU, then the QX6700. Those are all Core 2s.

Best for the money,thats hard to say. Whats best for the money for you might not be for me, depends on what the person wants to do with there computer, then you see what the best is for the money

well yes, it is very divers, but I guess we could all look past that and say which out of all those are what we think is the best bang for your buck. Although it would be nice if we could find out what he planed the CPU to be used for and if he plans to OC. Can you tell us that please so we know? If gaming then the core 2 duo line is good. servers are good with the AMD's he put up there.
