Need a program that will permently destroy ALL data in ALL places in on my HD.

I am looking for a program other then PowerMax that has the ability to permanently destroy all data on all areas of a hard drive. By all areas I mean on the plates, in the cache, in the boot sector and any other place that data can be stored. It also must destroy all data stored in my RAM and in the RAM on my PCI-E. I want 100% of all data stored anywhere other then my BIOS to be destroyed permanently to prevent a potential virus from coming back. I need to remove 100% of all data permanently from one of my hard drives and it must be reverted to its OEM state like it came in the box. I need to do this because I think I may have a boot sector virus. I can’t use PowerMax because it does now work. When I choose “boot from floppy” in my BIOS it boots from the flopy and gives me an error message that says something like “missing or damaged data file” or something along that line.

1. RAM is erased when you turn off the comp.
2. AFAIK its imposssible to store viruses in Video RAM
3. If its a boot sector virus, then try a virus scanner. avast does a nice boot-time scan that scans pretty much everything.
4. if its on your hard drive, then a format is all you need (format as a last resort, scan first). Zeroing out your HDD isn't needed for viruses.

A hammer works very nicely for this. :P
and in the RAM on my PCI-E.
wtf? Since when does the PCI-E bus have RAM? I

hes not washing windows...
Oh shut up

Exactly.

Just format the drive. I've never seen a virus that can survive a formatting, unless it is stored somewhere else.
