Asus P5B Deluxe or Gigabyte DS3??

was going to by Asus P5B Deluxe, but all of the sudden I've been hearing alot about Gigabyte DS3. I plan to OC a little to make my e6600 to the speed of e6700, thats 2.4ghz to 2.66ghz.

WHich would you perfer?

e6600 can be oc-ed over 4.23 GHZ according to tom's hardware.

DS3!!! its cheaper and overclocks just as well.

I'd say the DS3. I've had both Gigabyte and Asus motherboards, and I find the Gigabytes to be better quality and easier to use.

Not all chips can. Tom's Hardware is the one that got one to 4.23Ghz I believe.

If you are just planning to overclock to 2.66, just about any motherboard will do the job. With either of the motherboards you posted, overclocking will more likely be CPU limited then motherboard limited, because at 450FSB, your processor will be running at 4.05Ghz .
