Finding an IP address

Hi, i am wanting to know if it is possible and how to find out a computers internet IP address. Is this possible?

If you have windows, go to run and type 'cmd', then in the command prompt type 'ipconfig' or 'ipconfig/all' for more information.

This gives you your internal network IP, not your outside Internet IP

if you want another persons IP address, then ask that person to follow the steps stated above and give it to you.

Any other method, as said cant be talked about on the forum. if you want more info then googling is the best way.

packet sniffers and the like can pick up traffic along networks and other useful information. However since there are things like NAT pretty much everywhere you go getting someone's ip address is almost pointless, also since almost everything is DCHP its even more pointless. Unless you are trying to accomplish a certain task. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
