Hi folks,

Ihave a little disturbing issue with IE7. When I go to My documents on the desktop and use the Favorites accessible from there, IE7 always opens twice : two windows with the same URL. I can't figure it out and I would like if any one her would have a clue how to correct/bypass this ?

Thanks !

Dont listen to him, IE7 is much better, FF is annoying as hell. Go to your Documents, right click, then go to properties. What is the path?

LOL, IE7 is much better than FF !!! are you kidding me ?

FF2.0 has built-in inline spell checking.
In FF you can clear all your private data by just one click with the “Clear Private Data” tool.
You can download extensions and you can customize FF the way you want
FF2.0 also saves session info. If FF crashes you can load all previously opened pages.
When you use the find option in FF, you can search for the word that you want letter by letter. I mean when you write the first letter "F" for example, it will highlight for you the word that begins with letter 'F" by red color. In IE7 or opera you need to write the full word in order to find it.

Thats just some of the FF features that IE doesn't have. FF is better than IE in every way.

Thank you for supporting my point :D:D:D:D

IE made a copy of FF (fully customizable) because they realize what people really want. I went to see what addons IE7 has, NONE...

And to finish, here is what I found on this forum:

hey guys

just wondering if there is anyone in here using eplorer 7?

i was warned off a good friend of mine to stay away from explorer 7 as there was a few problems with it-

as usual i ignored him because i thought he would have ment when it was internet eplorer 7 "beta"

anyway i have been using it for not even a week and ive had to uninstall it due to the fact that the internet pages would stick and then i would have to go into task manager and close it down.

basicly i know its not my internet connection as im on 8meg and behind a well firewalled router.

anybody else had or having the same problems?????

or could anyone advise me on something a bit better than explorer????

what do you know, another FF vs IE7 thread. I would really get FF man. Its safer, for me its faster, way better custimization. And yea, 7 is a copy of FF. And there is a lot of crap on this forum if you want more opinions, just search for it.

LOL:P

Ahem...well thanks to all guys ! That was not really the kind of replies I was expecting, I was just trying to get a problem solved:P

Anyway, to cut it short, I am using both of them : Firefox and IE 7 (to access from home my mail of the office, because their webmail does not support FF...).

So, independently from any kind of consideration on which browser I should use; could you please try to help me out here ?...

To Burnitdown : I went to My docs in the properties. Here is the path : "ntsandsettings\HP_proprietaire\Mydocuments"

Any further step or idea ? Thanks in advance for any help !

try to reinstall the browser.

hmmm...might be a solution but I would have to back-up my bookmarks first in order not to lose them... I am quite sure there must be a solution in the options of IE 7 but where ? ...
