It seems in the last year or so people are now changing what they use in there desktop PC's. Since the launch of Pentiums Dual Core people are swapping there AMD CPU's for the new Pentium Dual Cores.

Well, that is a matter of opinion and if it is true i think that it will be because of the fact that AMD haven't got a dual core processor on the market yet. Tbh i am going to wait until AMD bring out there quad core processors, then i will get a new processor!

Yep i dont think people will be going mad and buying C2Ds anymore when AMD release their latest processor.

Amd must fight back hard and release something and im sure it will beat the C2D.

Im also doing nffc10 is....Im waiting to see what AMD comes out with.

AMD do have a dual core processor line don't they?
i thought the AMD Athlon X2 series is it?

p.s. how come the quote tool never works for me?!

That statement is pretty untrue. Hardly anyone is switching from AMD to Pentiums.

Now more people are switching from AMD to the Intel Core 2 Duo, but thats not the same thing as a Pentium :)

You need a forward slash before the Q in the bracket on the quote box at the end., you missed the forward slash.

maybe because AMD cannot compete on a quad core market. with Intel crazily advertizing and selling their Core 2 Duos and Quads, AMD is struggling in a new market- x no. of cores. i think AMD is still stuck with the idea that Intel relys on clock speed- which has changed dramatically over the past year.

AMD's engineers are extremely smart, and I doubt they think Intel still relies on clock speed :)

And why do you post that medical warning in every single one of your posts?
