celeron 2.4ghz vs athlon 3800

thou both have 2.4ghz cores(least if i remember correctly the 3800 did) i was woundering which ones better i no that the athlon one should be but how much more is it (unless im wrong) can anyone plz find some benchmarks or something cause my friend was gona buy my athlon 3800 with new mobo and stuff but i dont want him 2 buy it if its a worthless upgrade
 
The Intel Celeron @ 2.4GHz gets outperformed by about 20% by an AMD 3200+ @ 2.2GHz, so i suspect it would be worth the upgrade.
 
The Celeron basically... sucks.

The A64 3800+ beats it in all types of multi-tasking tasks, and it's an extremely better performer in games.
