Discussing making copies of commercial DVD's for personal use or not, is illegal and as such against the Forum Rules. These kinds of disks have copy protection technology built in - and it's breaking this copy protection which is the illegal part.

I'm sorry, but you'll have to go elsewhere if you want a solution to your problem.

I Have Recently Developed A Problem With My Sony Dvdrw Burner. It Will Only Burn Cdr's And Dvdrw's. I Tried Nero, Dvd Decrypter, And Clone Dvd. Same Problem, It Reads Illegal Disc. I Use Dvd Shrink To Backup Dvd's. The Movies Backup Fine And I Have To Put A Dvdrw In The Burner Or Else I'll Have Another Coaster. Also Cannot Copy Disc To Disc For Dvd I Have Already Updated Firmware. I Have Had This Burner Just Under 1 Year And Have Burned Dvd's Before With No Problem Till Now. Any Ideas Would Be Appreciatted. Thanks In Advance!!!!!

sounds like the security measures now used on dvd's finally surpassed what dvd shrink can do. you should just buy the movie. they don't cost that much.
