Addicted to HD space! - I have a problem...

Oh, and I can't have an album in my WMP11 library without having the album cover!
I know what you mean, And it can't say 'Unkown' nex to it, I have to name it!

i dunno,I just searched on google images for Avatars or somewhere (Cant realy remember) and there it was.

sounds like you need a gf to spend that money on and if you have one you should spend more money on her and then you wont have the excess space that you will never use

I like space, i kinda have space, but not in multiple locations, my computers 200 gig HDD has 152 gb free, of 189 formatted space. But it keeps making weird noises, so at the moment i am obsessed with backing up, to an 80 gig HDD, in an external caddy. Then my laptop has about 30 gig, but the only thing installed on it is XP and OpenOffice. Then I am considering buying a 250 gig drive, to use as network attatched storage.I've just been looking and it works out at less than 20 p per gigabyte (including p&p) which I thinkis absolutely amazingly low!

I have a laptop that I use as my main machine that has an 60 gig that's always full. Then I back my stuff up to my storage backup comuter which is a desktop that has an 80 gig. Then I have a 40 gig external for my movies. 180 in total. However my 80 broke so now I'm extremely worried

Hi! I'm pretty new here but I'd like to join in!
While you guys are talking about all that space buying... I was wondering: Instead of buying all that additional space what's the best way to organize partitions/folders in order to keep files in a right order and secure?
I usually create two partitions: One for my OS and Soft and one for all my other files. I hate how My Documents get separated from all my other files. I usually make main folders like Pictures, Sites (I'm a web developer), Invoices and School. This however leaves me with lots of misc files to put where? Also I want to keep all my invoices and all at the same place but if I have say a company named "Macaco" well then I'd have a folder in Sites named Macaco and one in Invoices named "Macaco"... and in there there's always misc stuff for me and wow hundreds of folders in a same folder :| and more clicking... no I'm tiered of clicking uselessly searching for a specific file which I named I don't remember what!?!!
I can never seem to get all my things organized.
So tell me what's your way to get your drives working properly and secure in an organized way!
EDIT: Oh: I know you guys addicted to buying new hard drive but the best way to organize files without going over Raid 1 and a bunch of backups
