Hi my friends getting this laptop and im the go to guy around here for computer questions but i dont know 2 much about laptops.
i know desktops and laptops are a big difference but shes gonna pay 1900 Canadian for this

17" display
160gb harddrive 5400mhz
256mb video card cant remember details
1667mhz processor
2gb ram
and im sure alot of other stuff i cant remember
but my main question is, is that a fast processor? i mean its a pentium computer and i mean the avergae pentium desktop is probly about 3ghz, is 1667 decent for a laptop.

thanks

Decent enough computer, I'd say it's a pretty good price. I'd take it if I had the money, the processor could be a little faster, but has a good amount of RAM. I would also like for you to post a link.

with all the other details of that laptop... 2GB ram, 256MB GPU, 160HDD... it is probably a high end CPU like a core duo or core 2 duo.... need to know for sure before anyone goes any further.

That can either be a POS laptop, or one of the best out there.

What kind of 17" is it? WXGA, WXGA+, etc?

Hard drives arent measured in Mhz, they're measures in RPM's, lol

Again, it can be a 256MB x1400... or a 256MB 7900GS

Hmmmm... a 1.66Ghz P4, Celeron M, Pentium M, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo? DETAILS!!

Do you know what speed RAM?

And what do you mean its a Pentium computer, do you mean its a 1.66Ghz P4, or CD/C2D?
