AIM 5.9 problem

This just started about 10mins ago. Before then AIM had been running perfectly fine, and i HATE the new triton or whatever it is so i continue to use the 5.9 version. However now AIM wont stay running. After running for about 1min or less it will prompt me that it has caused an error and closes the program. Its really pissing me off as AIM is my primary messaging program.

Iv re-installed it as well and it still isnt working.

Anyone know what the problem is?
 
That AIM is still a lot like triton. I also stick with 5.9.xxxx.

Try searching for AIM AD HACK to remove some of the advertisements. It isn't neccessairly that, but getting rid of the ads might help lol.
 
no triton was a seperate entity they used it but basically stole dead aim and turned it into aim 6.0 give it a try its not that bad of a program and only takes like a week to get used to and then you wont look back man i havent.
 
Also, if you're not happy with AIM, Try Trillian. You can use it for all of your other IM clients too. It's easy to use, looks moderately good, you can customize it with themes and such, it's a good program.
