Just want to make sure this'll all go fine together:

Looks fine at a glance. Any reason you when with the Hitachi HD over other more popular desktop brands. I havn't heard much about their desktop processors, but I know most laptops have their 2.5" drives. My Averatec does ;)

Could be possibley cheaper? I'm sure though, if you got an OEM Western digital or Segate, they'd be about the same price. I'm not quite sure though. Maybe he just didn't want to get retail because it's too expensive...and then no oem because have to buy extra parts?
 
Good choice with the Antec's, quality stuff. It looks like a good system. What do you plan on doing with it? If you plan on doing some gaming I would recommend a better GPU. That mobo is expensive without a lot of additional features (unless it is the wifi one and thats why you are getting it). I would recommend a Gigabyte board with equivalent features. I would ensure voltage is adjustable with that mobo as well in case you desire overclockable RAM in future, it also makes upgrading easier and if not make sure your RAM's voltages match the mobo.
 
good choice with asus mobo.
but I would suggest asus p5b deluxe with intel 975 chipset.
buying asus video card is a waste of money.
get evga. 7800gt for the same price. and they have excelent
customer support.

e6400 is a waste of money.
the real kick comes in e6600 or which ever model has 4mb cache.
but those are expensive.
so buy e6300 and overclock it.

and get at least 450W supply.
western digital and seagate are best HDs for desktops

you can stil buy g.skill memory pc2 6400 which operates at 1.8v and is compatable with your mobo.
or get p5b deluxe and get 2.1V memory or 1.8 memory

I don't know...It's just fairly rare to see brands other than Seagate, WD, and Maxtor :rolleyes: Maybe the occasional Samsung. But they could be much better drives, I don't know...

just to make everyone know:
wd and seagate are #1s

maxtors are not there in quality. samsun ... never heard of those HDs.
 
I would get a W/D or Seagate, I am sure some people have had good Hitachi drives but building computers I have had to RMA to many of them back to fool with them!
 
So I'll grab a Seagate HDD, stick with the P5B mobo, get an E6300 and learn about OCing.
I believe the 7600GT is fair enough for me to play wargames or RTS. Would XFX or Leadtek be a better catch?
For the PSU, I can get an Antec Smartpower 450W for the same price, what's better?
 
The P5B is not a great board for over clocking. I would suggest a board that is known for OCing like the gigabyte in my sig. If you don't know anything about over clocking, I would read up, it is potentially very costly is you do not know what you are doing.

Well, after reading reviews @ Newegg, I may consider this board. Thanks for the advice.

Any recommendation for the GPU within these ones?
 
You've made a good choice on the GPU. If you're willing to spend the extra 40 on the MSI X1950 Pro it would be a significant upgrade, otherwise stick with the Asus 7600GT.
