Is this a good price for a gaming computer?

(lol, in advance, I know how much people hate it when a person makes a thread as their first post >_>. For this, I apologize.)
I bought a computer from ibuypower 2.5 years ago for $800 and it's running Vista Ultimate fine to this day (with aero enabled). However, I feel it's time for a new gaming rig, as my old one has a pentium 4ht 3.2ghz 512ram and a radeon 9800 with 128 dedicated. I know what you must be thinking, why don't I just upgrade my RAM and Video Card? Meh, I want a new computer. sooo...considering that I already have a Vista Ultimate dvd, I configured this computer with no os installed, and I was wondering if this was a good price and if I should spend another $100 for 2.4ghz. Also, I'll be playing games such as Crysis, Half Life 2, Psychonauts; if I need more ram, I can get 1gb for $80 from fry's instead of pay $180 on this website. (img below)

hmm, call me a noob, but...does the standard power supply adversely affect the system's performance? And as for the motherboard, I don't mind because the only other chip I'll be installing is a pci wireless adapter.

it might affect the stability

it looks good BUT why don't you just go with a E6300 instead, there the same thing but at different clock speeds, with the money you save buying a E6300 Get a better mobo. the ECS isn't that good

You don't want a cheap power supply. First of all, they don't provide much power. Second, they usually don't provide the clean, steady power that your computer needs. Lastly, they have a tendency to not last long, causing at least time and frustration on your part, and sometimes even taking out components as well.

Personally the new R600 or geforce 8600/8800 would be a better investment and also futureproof and I agree about the PS that would be a good investment, and ECS isn;t the best Mobo

You also might consider building it yourself. It isn't hard, and you probably can save some money. Wait a minute while I compile a list of parts...

Wow...Jet, that was amazing, you upped the ram and lowered the price 0_0...thank you. I'll try to order them all with one shipment and save on shipping.

If your goal is to spend $1350, then you could upgrade some of the components; if your goal is to spend as little as possible, then I would suggest downgrading the processor to the E6300.
