Software Drivers "NOT" WHQL certified?

i get the message once in a while, and i get a little scared and click on "STOP Installation". should i click on "Continue Anyway"?

Depends, do you know the drivers are compatible?

For example, Omega video drivers are not digitally signed. I get this error. But I know they work so I continue anyway. It's like this for almost all "aftermarket" drivers.

It's possible that the drivers won't work, sicne Windows hasn't approved them. But most people who make drivers on a large scale (Omega) do there own testing and you should be OK.

If the product says it is supposed to run on XP, go ahead with the install. That way at least you can call the maker if it causes an unknown error. If you get a driver that says "use at your own risk" or similiar, that is when you are on your own. Omega drivers are like that, but I've always used them with good results so I don't fret.

Well either Google it up or just chance it. If they don't have a website and you can't find any info...it's all on you. For all you know the drivers included could be a virus. But that's the risk you take when you install unsigned software on a Windows machine.
