hi guys i'm new in this forum an i need some help,i have two computers 1 running with xp and the another with vista, the problem is this :i have a movie on format avi and i'm trying to convert to dvd,but i search and i found some software, but when i download to the one running with vista it show me the files as "bc file" and i can't open, and i tried downloading to the very old computer and the same files don't show as "bc file" and even is more easy with xp i think, now my question is this: is there's a way to get rid of the "bc files" or is the new windows causing all the problem i prefear the new pc because it's speed and perfomance, please i need advice on this ,any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I'm assuming that your using Bit Comet, cuz Bit Comet does have the option of downloading uncompleted files in a bc file extension. If you check the options or settings in Bit Comet, there should be an option that adds the .bc extension to uncompleted downloads, just turn it off.

need help II

hi cybergomer, i'm using bitlord,i went to check the settings and i don't see the options could you please give me more advice? because for sure i know the files show me 100 % downloaded that's when i open them, thanks again.

Its under Options and Preferences.

Under the highlighted are, just uncheck it and if your still having problems with the file reaching 100% and keeping the .bc extension, just check the "hash-check again when the download task is finished".

Media player will play anything with the right Codecs. Your probably missing a video one. My bet would be probably be a Divx codec. But the easier way to make sure you get the right one is to download something like the K-lite codec pack that has almost everything that you will ever need.

You can find it at http://www.codecguide.com/
