USB Test Program?

Is there any software out there that will allow me to test my USB ports or my mobo as a whole? I need to find out if there is a leaking cap or something because I keep getting a clicking/popping noise in my speakers and noticed when I unplug my usb cables the sound get lower. With every usb cable I unplug you can hear the sound get a bit lower, which is making me wonder id there is a bad component on my Mobo and it is causing interference.

I don't know of any way software could check your USB ports besides maybe a loop-back test. Though that wouldn't be any different than just plugging something into them and seeing if they work.

If you think a capacitor's going bad, look on the motherboard. It's typically quite obvious when they begin to fail as they start to swell up and sometimes bubble out.

What USB ports are you using? Could the sound be interference? If you're using the front USB ports, maybe the wire going to the USB headers isn't sheilded well?

that would be my guess too.

All my usb products work fine and I'm using the 4 usb ports on the back. I went over the Mobo with a fine toothed combo and from what I can see there is no burn marks, deformities, white sports.....nothing :(

Here is what I have done already
