will it perform at the same level?

Lets say a p4 2.6ghz was over clocked to something like 3 or 3.2ghz.

If the clock speed is set back to 26 ghz again. will this p4 work at the same level as it was over clocked before?

Do you mean that if you OC it up, then UC it back down, it will perform at the same levels as when it was at 3.2GHz? then no. The CPU cant just make up 400MHz after going back to 2.66. If you are asking if it will perform the same as before OCing as when you clock it back to 2.66, then yes. Unless you burn it up.
