Not Loading Os

I have windows 2k on this system with a new hard drive. I downloaded War Rock MMO from download.com and i started installing and then i left the room. when i came back the screen was black and said cant load operating system. When i rebooted the bios showed the hd and then the black screen came up again. :mad: I need help.
 
Sounds like a virus to me. Something changed the information for the boot strap loader and the os won't load. Happened to me when I accidently messed up and partitioned the hd wrong for a linux install. Try repairing but that may not work. I ended up having to format the drive and reload windows back on. Not fun. Good luck. I hope someone else has a better suggestion for you.
 
Yeah my antivirus software wouldn't update for about a month so I guess it could be that. I sure hope not. I'll be working on it.

Try downloading Hijackthis and then post your log into the security forum here or if you feel up to it post it on hijackthis.de and do it yourself. Good luck!
