Have you right clicked on Start>Explore? Do you see the flash drive listed under removable media or drive? It should be right below the D:. If you can see it, click on it and then click open. If not, you may need to get the PC to install it.

no its not there for sure

Its to do with the school's security system, then my school's intranet first went up, I get the same problem too, try making shortcuts, I know that removable drives will be assigned as G:\ drives, so just right click and select make a shortcut, the type G:\, see if that works, try F:\ or H:\ or D:\ and E:\, they are the common ones.

Just right click on my computer click on manage go to disk utilities and look for it there its probably assigned a drive name that is already assignend change the drive name and you will be ok let me know if you need help doing this...

Those computers are probably so locked down that he can't get to those options to begin with. Also alot of high schools disable right click. I know at my school you have to be a tricky bastard to get past their security. Do you go to a high school? I've been told colleges are even worse. Although it really shouldn't be a problem with a flash drive. They should know how important those are to students.

I dont know what kind of highschool or college you went to but the worst thing i have ever had was deep freeze which wasnt really a problem you could still go to my computer and manage and do it that way and if that happens do it at home assign it like drive M and it will keep that drive letter when you get to school and you shoudlnt have a problem with it already being assigned to that letter!

When u go to My Computer, try search every :D :E :F :G :H files. See if u can find the right one. Are u sure that you have some work in your memory pen???

Once u found it, try to rename it. I put my name for my memory stick. So I could find it easily when I inser it into the computer and when I insert my flash drive, there will appear two things (:G and :F, I think). One of those are my security for the flash drive.

well compared to some other school computers mine dont sound bad at all. some classes are diffrent though. my comm tech class which has the best computers in the school is pretty decent. i mean i was just playing unreal tournament today. the have blocked alot of sites and proxies though. other than that i can do alot of stuff.
