when i try to use my flash drive at school it does not work. wheni click safely remove hardware my drive is listed but other than that i cant find it anywhere. what can i do to use it, i really need it.
Have you right clicked on Start>Explore? Do you see the flash drive listed under removable media or drive? It should be right below the D:. If you can see it, click on it and then click open. If not, you may need to get the PC to install it.
Just right click on my computer click on manage go to disk utilities and look for it there its probably assigned a drive name that is already assignend change the drive name and you will be ok let me know if you need help doing this...
Those computers are probably so locked down that he can't get to those options to begin with. Also alot of high schools disable right click. I know at my school you have to be a tricky bastard to get past their security. Do you go to a high school? I've been told colleges are even worse. Although it really shouldn't be a problem with a flash drive. They should know how important those are to students.

Its to do with the school's security system, then my school's intranet first went up, I get the same problem too, try making shortcuts, I know that removable drives will be assigned as G:\ drives, so just right click and select make a shortcut, the type G:\, see if that works, try F:\ or H:\ or D:\ and E:\, they are the common ones.
