what does shared graphics mean, does it have an intergrated graphics card in it, i just want to know cause im going to buy a computer and all the computers say they have shared graphics, is shared good or bad

say u get a laptop with 2 gigs of ram and a 128mb (integrated) graphic card, you will only have 1920mb of RAM that is usable.

now my laptop has a Go7600 graphic card which has its own dedicated RAM (256mb). so it doesn't steal any of the 2gigs of RAM from the computer.

that is a separate card, it wont steel any computer RAM if im not mistaken. what computer are you looking at?

Video cards with Turbocache or Hypermemory steals a chunk of the memory they use from your system memory. However, they are different from Integrated Graphics as they have their own GPU.

Turbocache is only available for budget low end cards, I wouldn't mind it get implemented in high end cards like the 7900GT.
