Proper way to reformat!

Hey guys,

This is a very noob question but I was wondering how to properly reformat a HD. NOW before you guys start typing google.com I have checked there and found great reviews. The only thing is I dont really trust those help files. However, I do trust the community of computerforums.com and if anyone would like to post a legit link, or even type steps on how to reformat that would be greatly appreciated!!

right click the drive and format ( assuming it is not a boot drive )

or

you can use the windows xp cd to format it during setup, then you can cancel it afterwards.
