Can anyone hook me up with parts for laptop. I have HP zv5000 the power supply works fine but internal part where you plug the adaptor is fried or its just not taking the power. The technician at bestbuy quoted me 250 dollars to fix that. Is there anyway around it instead of fixing it or anysite from where i can buy that part separetly or if anyone can fix it for cheaper
thankyou

Ebay's all I can suggest for finding parts for it.

So how do you know that's bad? Have you checked the volts and amps from the power box? Does the laptop run off battery?

The volts and the amps are fine, but i use to keep it plugged in for a long time and at that time i didnt know thats the place from where the internal heats escapes from. its a 3 yr old laptop but i need to get all my files out. and it runs off the battery as well

I asked around more ppl and the cheapest quote i got was 200 to fix it. is it worthed getting a 3 yr old laptop fixed its P3.
thanks

I would say no. Laptop drives can be a little difficult to remove, but if you give yourself a little time you should be able to take it out safely. You can then plug the drive into an external adapter, hard drive enclosure, other laptop etc... to transfer your files.

thats what i was thinking of doing cuz the laptop is P3 and its not really worthed to spend 250 on that just to fix the power.
