Hey guys, i was at my dads office and was going though all his old computers and came upon this:

Here are the specs (to the most of my knowledge, i havent even booted it yet)
-p3.. unknown speed
- i think it has 128mb of ram
-windows ME is on there right now
-20 gig 7200 rpm HD

Im thinking aout running Ubuntu on it.

Here are some pictures:

will ubuntu run well on this kind of box?

I would add another 128mb RAM or more, but other than that I think it should run fine. :)

i just got back from my dads office, and i ripped apart another old dell like that one, and pulled out a 128 MB stick. so i think the ram count is up to 256 right now.

Kubuntu should run nice....

from what ive seen it would run on a 500MHz machine with at least 192MB memory will run Kubuntu well right out of the box (you should have 2-3 GB of hard drive space to devote to Kubuntu as well.

thansk guys, does anyone have any idea how to boot off a CD with a Dell L933r?

i cant remeber what keys that i have to hit to get to the boot order.

edit:

got that, now i get an error message saying there was an error in the I/O buffer.
