does any one know if amd are comming out with new processors that will be faster then the core 2 duo but not over 400 dollars?

if you could use 1 rig what would you choose rig 1-nforce 680i sli core 2 duo 1333fsb 8900gs 1 gig ocz ddr2 533 windows vista

Amd fx-62 asus crosshair motherboard 8900gs ddr2-533 windows xp

which processor is the best at running games and will last for a long period of time
 
They are coming out with "true" quad cores, but no one knows when exactly they will be out, and what they will charge.
 
ofcorse they are comin out with new cpu's. only thing uncertain is the price and release date. they are still in frankenstiens lab.
 
Out of those two computers, I'd probably choose the Core 2 Duo (though you haven't given us the model of the processor, ie. E6x00).

Yes, they are coming out with a new processor line, and it will be sometime around the release of the X2xxx series of ATi graphics cards.
 
The Core 2 Duo is currently the best for any area of computing, be it gaming, CAD...

Until the Barcelona is released (AMD's new CPU), we won't know how much better (if at all) it is than the C2D/C2Quad.
 
a good new processor is coming out called quad cock....they say it's going to have massive processing power. :D i'm sure it will stick out beautifly!
