Question concerning upgrades

I've customized an HP laptop via the website, I cut the video card down to a 256 and the ram down to 1 gb to save money. My question is, will I be able to go into a store later on and purchase an additional 1 gb of ram, and upgrade the video card to a 512?

Only integrated video is built into the motherboard, you can upgrade the video card anytime you want as long as it has an expansion slot.

I'm kinda new to upgrading, um, what do you mean by an expansion slot?

if you are able to take the video card out.. i.e. its not built into the motherboard, its connected via a PCI-E port. nvidia uses a MXM system that allows you to upgrade the video card, but there are 3 types, so when you go to upgrade make sure you pick the right one :D

Ah, cool, thanks, yeah, the card that comes with the laptop is a 256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7600, I was thinking to later on upgrade it to a 512MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) Go 7600, this should be possible, right?

yeah as long as it it isnt to big id think yyou could upgrade, the connection should be the same if not, perhaps there are convertors.
