According to this ^ website, 8500GT will be clocked at 450MHz core and has 256MB DDR2 memory clocked at 800MHz. 8500GT will be slightly better than the current GeForce 7600GS.

GeForce 8600 GTS, 8600 GT and 8500 GT cards will be released on April 17th.

Nvidia might also release 8400 GS and 8300 GS on
late April or early May

All of these video cards will be based on
80nm process.

Can we assume this will cause a drop in their existing 8 series prices?

Very little to no reduction in price is likely. Companies tend to keep their higher end models within the higher price range just for the simple fact that people will buy them to have the latest and greatest or top model.

I personally can't wait for these and the new e66xx's to come out. There was no way I was going to pay the kind of money they want for the 8800gts/gtx as I don't need that kind of performance but I would like a DX10 card.

Are there any other specs leaked on these newer cards?

8800GTS 320 costs $300-350 now, so I think it would be more faster and preferable than 8600GTS because it have 320 bits memory bus vs 128 bits in 8600
