uhhh.... I guess it would make sense if the screen was nicer and bigger and you want 100+ movies on there. I don't think sound quality is going to go up, songs are still going to be around the same size many years from now.

I don't care. The stupid things can hold more like 4 days more songs/movies than their battery life can play in a single charge and are too expensive to be used for portable storage.

2014 is a long way off. I'm sure there will be many wonderful things including very high capacity iPods (and better batteries, Cromewell :P). But just remember, by that time, REAL hard drives will be up into the 10's or 100's of TB. :)

Oh, and I use my 30GB iPod as an external hard drive.

Lol @ that! I think a 1 TB ipod would be outrageous! Seriously? Why? An external HDD would be cheaper than that. And who has that much music to fill that up? I don't even think most DJ's have that?!? Seriously!?!?

Unless they make up a new sound format that takes more than 100 MB for a song for stupid extra ultra mega quality.... I don't think there is a need for that 1TB thing. And I don't think this is gonna happen.

It's an iPod...So you KNOW it will freeze or break...

And a terrabyte..Holding a standard 2.5 - 3 mb song can hold Nearly 1,000,000,000 Song...Yes a million....

Heres another fun fact...if you were to buy 1 Million songs individually from iTunes at .79p (idk what they are in Cents) you would have spent £790,000,000

Now thats one expensive iPod....

haha i dont even have a 1tb of info and progs etc! never mind music! well i think by then i will have a fair share of music!

just look at 10 years ago! we have tape players! nothing will suprise me!

Bring on the 1tb!!!!!

Outrageous? Why? I bought it as an iPod, and now i use it for music + external drive. What's wrong or so outrageous about that?

Also, why do you think a 1TB iPod is outrageous? Like I said, by that time regular hard drives and RAM will be relative.

My 30GB iPod is bigger than early supercomputer hard drives.
Hmm...I wonder what they said back then? Perhaps rhat you would NEVER need or use 1TB of hard drive space! :P

ahh only if i could vote twice...if i could vote twice these would be my choice

I would just use it like an external HDD

BUT

I could never fill that up with music

My Ipod has set in the console of my Jeep all winter and I don't know if it still works, it is just a friggin nano, no probs yet. I have heard of people's 30Gb Ipod's sounding like a jet and then the screen busts and sparks fly, literally. I saw the burn marks on my friends desk. He was just charging it up with songs and power from his PC. Haha, I want a Zune.

you suck at math

1,000,000MB / 3 = 333,333 or /5 = only 200,000 which isn't even close to 1 million songs

and 1,000,000,000 isn't a million at all, you need to hit the dictionary
