Like the title says, I REALLY need a new CPU fan for my LGA775 Pentium D 805, I've been using the stock one since I got it, and it's loud, I want a cheap fan(preferably $10 or less because I'm getting AS5 cooling compound to go with it, and I don't have much more $ than that right now...) that won't make the CPU overheat, and that's really quiet. Other than that, I don't really care.

Well, actually, I don't overclock, I just hadn't gotten around to changing my siggy yet. I have to go for tonight, but if you find any other good fans, please post and I'll check them out tomorrow.

looks nice, but I've only got about $25 at the most, not $60... :(

EDIT: Actually, I don't think I even need a fan, somehow it slowed down to like 2500 RPM and it's at 51 C according to everest... It's been on for a while too...

I've already got all that... It matches my powerpuff girls wallpaper. :P

By looks nice, I meant the reviewers said it was good, lol.

Thanks, but I got a fan last night, my computer kept restarting, so I got pissed at it, and took the CPU fan off and cleaned it to see if it'd make it go faster again, but it didn't, and I'm assuming that it was the CPU that was making the computer crash, plus I needed a new fan.

So this is what I got:
Thermaltake CL-P0257 Blue orb II CPU Cooler for LGA775 & K8
&
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound

I got my mom to lend me $20, so I got it. :P

Both of them have a lot of good reviews so I bet it'll work really good(and quiet :D) The only thing I'm a little worried about is that my CPU is about 1 1/2 inches away from everything(RAM, Chipset, PSU) so I'm not 100% sure it'll fit...

If it doesn't what should I do? I was thinking about getting a new motherboard anyways, because this one only has 1 IDE spot, so I can only have 1 CD burner and 1 HDD in at a time. The only thing is, that newegg still has this motherboard, and so if it doesn't fit, I'd just have to return the fan and get a different one for now...

for noise I like TMD, or tip magnetic driven, fans. They don't have ball bearings so you lose the mechanical sound and just have the sound of the air moving. I have them on all my Socket A (yea i know old school) computers. I'm sure you can still find them today, mine are made by Vantec.

The Blue Orb II is gigantic... if it doesnt fit, it just gives you another reason to get a new mobo.

Yeah, the only thing is, I won't be able to get a new one for a while, I owe my mom about $30 now, so it'll probably be my birthday when I get a new motherboard... When I do get a new one, I was thinking about the one in my sig, what do you guys think?

IT GREAT!!!

I have a big fan in my room because it's usually hot. I CAN NOT hear it over it! :D :D :D I have to look over occasionally to make sure it's still on, lol.

The only complaint I have is that the arctic silver 5 that I got with it didn't like me much, first I had way to much, than I had way to little, but I think I've got it right this time, it's about 50C it hasn't had time to adjust or w/e yet, so within a week or so, that temperature should go down a bit, my old fan rarely got below 50C.
