Challenge, need a $150 budget build.

Please give me the best build you can find for $150.
It does not need-
Case
Power Supply

So if it is AGP, no need for GPU, but otherwise, onboard video is fine. Onboard audio is a must.

Tough challenge, but what is the best system for the situation im in?

Well, since your processor still costs almost $100, you're not gonna be able to do much.

I'd just pick the one thing you're least happy with, and improve that.
 
I'm not talking about my system. I am satisfied with it.
I am doing this for a friend, he doesn't game, just wants as fast as PC as possible for homework/as much encoding/dvd burning as possible.

So some sort of P4, with an AGP GPU and like 512 to a gig of RAM maybe?
 
Processor and mobo are going to put you right under a hundred dollars at the least. 512MB RAM would pretty much seal the deal, so I don't think that you could get a GPU worth getting, might as well go with onboard, and what about a hard drive and a CD-ROM, and how about an operating system?

Impossible for 150$ and his needs, maybe for 300$ without os
 
No os needed.
Definitely could do under $300 though.
Forgot to mention no Optical needed either.
IDE hard drives are cheap also.
I am thinking around $200 for cpu/mobo/ram/hd?
