Hey all,

I run Ad-Aware SE pro everyday and it picks up the same threats (Tracking cookies...it cleans them up one day and the next they are back.

Are these bad threats? why do i keep getting them back on my system?
How can i get rid of them for good?

I have ad-aware se pro to and I have the same problem everyday they keep coming back well at least most of the time. If you are visiting websites that are doing this and it worries you then I would stop going to those websites and see if it clears up.

Hi,

yeah its annoying,i dont know what the sites are mentioned...doubleclick.net,Mediaplex.com:confused:

ive never visited or heard of those sites, and i couldnt realy think of any sites i go on that could cause it:confused:

also it says...

TYPE:IECACHE....I dont even use internet explorer...i use firefox :)

Tracking cookies are not always bad, for example, google gives you one. You don't have to remove them, as most do not pose any threat.

I know it says that for me to and I use Firefox to. I have no idea what to do about it but the best thing to do is just to keep deleting it everyday.

Thats a sweet theme. Is it Vista and where did you get that BG?

Cookies shouldn't really be a problem, the only problem with the cookies is that they can be detected as something that can be a threat and as such they should be deleted, deleting cookies and files every now and again is also a good thing. Run a scan everyday to get rid of them, they aren't a major threat, what is detected by your anti-virus system is something to worry about, not really what the ad-ware or whatever picks up.
