If you say its a AGI slot, is it a ASrock board? If it is, its kind of a weird compatible AGP slot. But as far as I know not all AGP GPUs will run on it.

that is correct it is an asrock. so, now i know it is only with agp unfortunately. need to get a motherboard with pci express to be on time.

That's right, but I thought boards with AGI usually had a PCI-Ex16 too.

Yea I think those ASrock boards with a AGI have a PCIe slot, dont know if the slot is a full X16 slot

Asrock motherboards are weird then, I used to have one of those but it had an AGP and a PCI-E on the same board.

avoid asrock mobos if you can they are cheaply made and unreliable go with one of the main makes like gigabit, asus ,intel or abit.

The are cheap, but I dont think they are poorly made, I have used one for about a year and I didn't have any problems. They are slim on features though, but they don't cost much, so in a way you get what you pay for.
