X1950GT 256MB or 7900GS 256MB?

I found the 7900GS 256MB PCI-E for about $140 after rebate, and then I saw the X1950GT 256MB PCI-E for about $120 after rebate, and I was wondering, which is better (considering that I will never overclock either one)? And I'm asking here because whenever I try searching for the X1950GT on google, all I get is the 256MB version versus the 512MB version (which is NO help at all when you can compare pretty much the same card but can't compare to competitors). Unless somebody can recommend me a video card better than both I mentioned, but still $150 or less (price can be after rebates, though).

Actually that is not true, the GS versions have a quad pipeline disabled, in other words it has 4 less pipelines than the GT, plus one of the vertex processors are disabled also, so it does differ apart from clock speed. Plus its impossible to unlock the pipelines as they are lasercut.

You are right

so it does differ apart from clock speed

No the stock clock speed and the stock memory speed of GS and GT is exactly the same.

Both have clock speed of 450MHz and memory speed 1320MHz at stock. But of course many manufactures like XFX, eVGA... sell an overclocked versions of GS or GT
