Within the next couple of weeks, i'm going to be getting a new computer. Here's what i have so far:

CPU - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/122941
Mobo - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/116475
GPU - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/119441
RAM - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/120640
PSU - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/119250

I already have a case, monitor etc.

I know some things are low end E.g. Ram and psu, but within six month's i will upgrade those anyway so i'm not that bothered.;)

I'm trying to keep within about £350, but i could stretch to £400.

What do you think?

I tend to think that building a budget pc is a waste of time and money - if you are just going to keep upgrading and upgrading every few months you will end up wasting more money than if you just built a modern pc all at once. Save your 400 pounds and put it toward a savings account for a new pc

So your telling me that this build won't last two years? Except for the ram and psu. And of course i don't expect it too be top end in two years.

I completely disagree... there is no reason to upgrade even every few months if you're not a hardcore gamer. I built a PC for like $400, and I plan to use it for quite some time.

It seems like a decent build, but why not dual core? They have some that are the same price as the one you have listed. What are you going to be using this for?

I would prefer a good PSU than that, although you are going to upgrade.
And I will wait until the new graphic card out instead of buying X1950XT.

Gaming, not so much the top latest games. Internet browsing, the odd dvd etc....

I've had a lot of good times with AMD, it is a dual core anyways.;)

Look like a good system!
I think you should get an E6300 as they'll be the price of that AMD gone April 22nd. You then would need to get an LGA775 board, which would probably be around the same price as the one you've posted.

I think you should go for it, but make sure it's everything you want before ordering it, you don't want to get it and build it and think "What if..." :)

Man, I'm rather thirsty right now, Damn, I wish your avatar was real! I really do! :D

Yeah, It happens to us all! Just make sure this time you know what you want :)

Anyway, I think an E6300, would be good!

I'm getting an E6300, Gigabyte D3, XFX 7900GS and 1GB of Corsair XMS2 RAM for £340. There's something to consider! I used Ebuyer and Novatech for the parts, they're the best in my opnion.

PS. Forgot to mention that I already had the Antec PSU though.

Yeah, The XFX 7900GS :D

If you add a PSU to the parts I mentioned in my last post it should be about £380.

That's rather good I think, well known dual core CPU. know MOBO brand, decent GPU and a good brand of RAM.
