Hello friends,

This problem has been appearing for a long time and I cant do anything at all. I done the best I can and none of them worked properly. When I turn off my PC it comes like this.

When I click on the circled one with black lines, it says the computer is updating and after 1 minute it shows that the update is not successful. What should I do to get rid of it?

Looks like it has some windows updates it downloaded and needs to intall them, what have you got automatic updates set on?

I had thos on a PC from one of my mums friends... it turned out to be a security update for Outlook SP1, but she didnt have SP1 installed for Outlook, so ti was never installing right and kept on coming up...

I actually was given the PC to format and clear out because they were selling it, so i never actually tried to fix it, sorry, cant help

Some Windows updates get stuck in a cycle where they try to install but can't. The best way is to do an advanced install and remove the offending update(s) from the installation lists. They'll never bug you again.

When it asks what updates you want installing you can uncheck that update, it'll prompt you but if you pass it there shouldn't be a problem.:)

The easiest way out for you is to click the text that says:

"Click here to turn off without installing updates."

It should simply turn off your computer normally.

Laptop there are different ways of doing it, If you have your auto update on then next time when you turn on your pc, there should be a message telling you new update are download and are available for install near your time. Assuming you set the auto update to notify you and let you chose to install the update or not.

If not just go into the auto update configuration and set it that way.

When the update message comes up, click on the yellow shell, a update window will come up, look for the advanced option, or some type of option button and it should show a list updates thats available, just uncheck the update box for the flash player and set it so it does not prompt you do install that update ever again.

If you need that update later, just download it from adobe and install it.

good luck

I am sorry. I dont get it how to set up that. When I go to advanced option, there is only one box to untick and when I untick, they says the installation wont happen if you untick the box. Is that it? Do I need to do anything else? Is that what you are trying to say to me?
