I recently purchased and put together a system made up of
processor-e6600
mobo-evga 680i SLI
RAM-rev.2 ocz platinum(2 gigs)
Hard drive-500gb seagate
dvd burner- LG lightscribe
GPU-some crappy ati card(borrowing till I buy a better one)
So when I load up my system my bios reads my cpu running at 2.133. I'am confused, I didnt pay an extra $100 bucks for a cpu to run like a e6400(not that it aint fast) The multiplier is set at eight and by what research ive done it looks like the stock multiplier is supposed to be nine.
Did my mobo reset my cpu clock?
(I know little to nothing about overclocking)
why is it running at this speed?
thanks for your help
