Windows Media Center and Speech Recognition

I found two new things that appeared in Vista and I liked it. I can use Vista but it's too heavy for my rig to handle it, example:
3DMark03 - GT1 Wings Of Fury (default settings):
Vista: ~55 FPS.
XP: 78+ FPS.

These are the two things and the questions:

1. The speech recognition in Vista makes everyday computing easier. I can just say 'close that' to close a window, 'start Battlefield 2' to play BF2, 'delete that' to delete the selected item(s) etc. Are there any speech recognition software for XP that acts nearly as Vista's (can close apps, maximize windows, dictation etc.)?

2. The Windows Media Center in Vista is great and beautiful. Can I have it on Win XP Pro? Or just in XP MCE?

Thanks.

Speech recognition ay, I have Vista for a while now and I don't use that feature, probably because I have heaps of background noise. But what is wrong with the mouse? I would rather use my mouse to do those things.

Nothing wrong with my mouse (and it's great!). With that, I don't have to use keyboard/mouse to operate the computer except for.. gaming :D .
