dvi to vga cable

I have a 256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro and it supports dvi, vga and s-vid.

Well I want to have dual monitors, I already have the vga used, and want to use the dvi for the second monitor. The problem is that my monitor only has a vga, so I need some type of adapter or conversion cable.

Well I just dont know what to get, I've seen plenty of dvi-vga cables/adapters...but what type of dvi do I need? Theres dvi-i to vga, dvi-a to vga, dvi-d to vga, etc, etc.

Any help would be great, thanks.

If you bought the video card new, it should have came with a DVI-to-VGA adapter

Not if the card has 1 DVI and 1 VGA port already ;) :) on the cards with 2 DVI ports the adapter is always included tough (at some points even 2, so you could be lucky and have 1 that came with the card, else, like omega said, you can buy one pretty cheap anyway :) )

Every video card I have ever bought has come with a DVI-to-VGA adapter for how ever many DVI ports there are on the card, some cases one, some cases two.

Me too. My 6800XT has DVI and VGA, but i still got the DVI-VGA adapter, that I use for my DVI-only FX5200.
