nVidia 8500/8600 benchmarks arrived.

I dont think this has been posted before, but here are the benchmarking results from the 8500 and 8600 series:

Really, other than the features, the 8600/8500 series isn't too impressive. If you have a 7900GT or a X1950Pro/GT, there is no reason to "upgrade"

I think is it mainly for people who want a budget card for DX10 and don't already have a preexisting card of thier own.

In shader-intensive games like STALKER and oblivion the 8600GTS can outperform 7900GS, X1950pro and even 7950GT. When running AA, GeForce 8600 GTS often falls behind X1950pro because of the low memory bandwidth.

One of improvements of 8600/8500 series over 8800 and 7xxx series is that it have new "VP2" video processing unit which is capable of offloading the entire decode process for HD-DVD and Blu-ray movies.
