... for my uncle. I have some ideas on what to do for a build for my uncle, here is what he wants: (go with Newegg)

Core2Duo at least 2GHz
Good board, he doesnt overclock at all
1GB RAM, preferably 2GB
nVidia GeForce (he says there is one with a tv card built in, I havent seen it is there a such thing?)
Or a PCI tv card would work if not
250+GB HDD
DVD +-R/RW with Lightscribe
9in1 media reader
Not-so-fancy case with at least 500W

He has a LCD already, as well as keyboard and mouse.

He didnt give me a price limit but Im not gonna go too crazy. Im curious what you guys can come up with. I will post what I get after looking around.

Thanks all :D

Here you go:I'm about to build this with an e6420(2.13ghz with 4mb cashe just like the e6600). It has a nice tv tuner and graphics card with Vista Premium. HEre it is:
NJNETSFAN515

Edit: Note that the picture shows an e6300, this is because the e6420 will be released this sunday and price cuts will come also. The e6420 will be the price of what the e6300 is today. Also, the total to you would be around $1000 unless your in an area like me that newegg charges tax.

Is your budget within the $1000 price range?

As for the TV tuner card, it can be added to the system using Vista Home Prem. OS or MCE 2005 OS if you intend to go that route.

I could PM details?

Not sure what his budget is but I dont want to go too crazy on it.

He has MCE already since he bought it a while ago to use it on his current PC.

So when the price cuts come, you dont think it would be worth getting the E6600 over the E6420? my builds coming soon with a budget also :)

I think intel E6320 is enough
Although he is not OCing, Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 or S3 are good reliable MB
GPU: nVidia GF 8600GT for slight gaming or nVidia GF 8500GT if he not gaming at all (both released already but haven't see it in stock in newegg today)
I haven't knew any of the GPU with TV card built in

TV card: buy a TV box is better. He can watch TV without turn on the PC
