What good key features do macs have?

I would go to the store and ask, but they would probably lie to get a sale.

So coming from someone here, what are some?

Question... Why would you want a Mac instead of a gaming rig?

IMO Mac's are great for users who arent as firmilar with using a computer, they just want to turn it on and have all the programs they need installed for them.

But Mac's arent compatible with most software (especially games) out there, so you will be limiting yourself to only a handful of software titles.

yup, you can install word or anything for it , you need to get the MAC type

PS when intel came out with the 3.2 GHz 64bit CPU, i read that MAC were only at 2.61 ghz...

You can install Windows on the new Mac's, but that would defeat the purpose of buying an overpriced Mac.

if you work with computers a lot and need some thing that is reliable and wont break as often than a mac is the way to go. i do all of my work on a pc and as of next buy it will be a mac! Pc's imo are generally unreailable.

PC has more chance of letting you down when you need it the most but if you dont do design, video editing and all that then there aint no point! and yeah PC's are a hell of a lot cheaper and i think (as i have never built) you can do so much more with them! :)

I rarely have problems with my PC, it stays up all the time and is perfectly stable.

Sure Macs are generally more secure and stable, but I risk a tad bit less stability for the ability to play alot more games and use alot more apps.

there are a lot of great features, iLife is pretty useful and like others have said i think they are generally more stable. If you want to spend quite a lot of money and get a mac with a reasonable graphics card then you have the best of both worlds as you just dual boot it and run games on the windows side and any other software which wont run on mac. Then run mac for everything else.

You looking at a laptop or desktop?

I could see this if he wants to get a laptop, but he already has a gaming desktop and a gaming notebook, why do you need 3 computers?

i know i though that,He must be loaded with cash :D

Feel free to buy me a gaming rig if you want :D

My desktop died, so all that I have left is my Macbook Pro, and yes I run it under windows, and it runs way better then the desktop did. Plays any game I want it too. I don't understand why some people hate them so much, yes they are expensive, but they hold there value well too, If I am to sell this in 3 years, I'll still get 1000$...

You know what I think, but I'll say it anyway "Everything is good about Macs."

Heres a list of the stuff I like:

1.Fast Speed
2.Great UI
3.Awesome Software (especially the video stuff)
4.Even runs Windows

I hope this helps. Oh, one thing, I heard that Leopard is coming out sometime in the near future. You might want to wait for it if it's not to far off.

He wants it because it's a Mac, and Macs rule!
