Huge myth!! Crysis is not at all demanding

Um, I guess. They left out some things like 1920/1200 monitors or 2650/whatever For all we know its a high end 1280 1024 or something, also they DX10 shaders will be taxing, there is no getting around that.
 
Yeah well some dont lie, WoW ran well on many a shitty box, the real issue is the resolution + settings you use, but they usually are signifigantly below what you need.

Requirements are overstated anyway........I just don't think they are "going to take anything down....", From what I see, there is nothing about 4Gb of RAM. I am not cheap when it comes to building my PC's, I will have no problem with my games. I am just tired of hearing Crytek talk about how they are "...Preparing for the Future...", by bumping up requirements and a lot of people on this forum are thriving on that.
 
Dude, they said they don't have official requirements yet. those cards they recommend arent even DX10!!!
 
They're rough guides, I can't see them changing much though, it's what they're using now, so it's bound to run fine when it's all finished! :)

Point being...

There isn't anything on the EA site, so I don't see how it could be wrong if there isn't anything to compare it too! Anyway, that site has interviewed the designers and creators of the game and thats who they got the information from, You'll see that if you watch some of the videos.
 
Also, remember that requirements are requirements. Not what it will run on well. Crysis will require mucho more to run well. Also, what is the obsession with this game? if you will remember, people got really mad that they had to have *gasp* a GB of RAM for HL2... and they had to update thier drivers! OH NOEZ! Games tend to get better graphically over time, or so the trend seems to be. Crysis has better graphics. You will have to upgrade to run it well, in almost any case.
 
That's I bet minimum requirement, not recommended I bet. What I mean is that it will be the Xp version. They are coming out with on that is for DX9, correct? Well, maybe that's for XP. the Vista may not be calculated yet.
 
And also, as stated above, those requirements havent been updating since January of 2006, which is almost 1.5 years ago!
 
Very good point. BUT! At the forum on the web site for Crysis They keep telling people that those requirements are still correct. Look for yourself. Are they lies????
