Hey everyone!

My PC randomly failed to boot the other day. Suspecting that my motherbaord died, I sent it to PC Medic for a diagnostics and sure enough that was it :rolleyes: .

Anyway, have a look at my specs. In short I'm looking for a 939 mobo + PCI-E. I've always like ASUS boards, I was thinking of getting one with an NVIDIA Chipset. I've had my eye on the Asus A8N32-SLI for a while (although I'm not planning to use SLI for a while). Overclocking? I'll prolly get around to do it eventually... :P Budget? Find the best bang for buck of course! I'll worry about money :P (around 200$ CAD or less if you must know)

I have a bit of interest in Gigabyte mobos, but have no ideal what to aim for there... :confused:

I'll make a list as is it suggested in this thread:
Red = Primairy Choices
Blue = Secondary Choices

1. A8N32-SLI
2. A8N5X
3. A8N-SLI SE (cheap at local store)
4. ASUS A8V-E SE (cheap at local store)

Thank you very much! Good day to you! :cool:

Funny, usually this forum is quick to answer! How about simply compare the ASUS A8N SLI SE to the ASUS A8V-E SE price/performance wise.

EDIT: By the way, on a SLI board can I disable SLI to put in a different graphics card then the primairy wich will act like a secondary graphic card (Like having a PCI graphics card to have multiple displays for exemple.)

Have you gone to memoryexpress to look at prices there? The nForce chipset on the A8N-SLI-SE is NVidia compared to the VIA crap seen on the other model. For SLI setups you need two identical cards in most cases. The problem of mixing there will be running two different models on the PCI-E bus instead of running a second PCI type. Your problem there will be resource and software related if you see problems. The SLI mode is disabled by default in the bios.
