USB 2.0 Problem

when i used to plug in my backup hard drive into my front USB socket, it worked no problem, but since I did a reinstall the other day, it keeps telling me that it's USB1.1 and could perform faster. So i'm guessing a driver issue which is why i put my motherboard disk in as i know it has USB2.0 drivers on it, except they specify"NOT FOR WINDOWS XP"(which i'm using) and that the USB2.0 drivers for XP are included in the SP1 , well i'm guessing that as I have SP2 installed then I would already have the drivers I need. SO WHERE ARE THEY??

Is this your motherboard:

It's the K8N... not sure if you made a typo in your sig... it's the only 754 mobo I could find for WinFast... if it is, then try those drivers.

it's ok , i've solved it !!

i spoke to a mate who runs a pc repair shop and he said it was very strange and probably wouldn't be a BIOS setting, however after searching the BIOS- i found it was a setting to "enable USB2.0 support" so job done
