Activation

Ok so I just installed XP off a friend's CD beacause I can't find mine. I have a product key that came with my comp. It's asking me to activate either by phone or internet and all I have available is phone. Why exactly do I have to call them, and will there be any troubles activating it?

Why would you say that? I thought you would have known you need to activate XP.

There shouldnt be any problems when calling them, just say you reinstalled windows on the same machine and you need to activate.
