overclocking?

can you overclock a stock computer and can someone please explain to me how to do it and what it does. thanks in advance

If you built it yourself yes. If its made by a company IE compaq dell. then probably not . you overclock by changing the FSB and stuff. you can also overclock the RAM and the video card. you should move this post to the "overclocking" part. You'll get more help there.
