It seems my IP blocking software has blocked an interesting ping..

Meh, it seems to be a bunch of people with Anarchisitc views when it comes to I.T. Thankfully that lot will never get their way in the U.K at least because of the DPA, I know some information while related to no person the Government holds is commercially sensitive and could cause massive problems if released to the world.

Why they were probing your PC makes you wonder what they're up to probing someone's computer...
 
Well this would only indicate an attempt, it says blocked..

So I doubt any harm was done.
 
Hmm...since they want information freedom, why don't you hack into one of their computers and "...play a little game..."? Go into VB and create a program that moves "shutdown.exe" into the boot sequence, hopefully they are using Windows.
 
uh, I really don't feel like pissing off 1500 hackers..

can I go into my router or computer and block access that specific ip?

Oh, you've already pissed them off, more than likely. I bet they have a program that show they were traced and by what IP. Ahh, I traced them too.
 
I am not to worried about it, I am behind good security, and obviously my ip blocker is working so, I feel alright.
 
Just a footnote:

If this lot want freedom of information then why not open up their computers? I reckon they probably have some of the best firewalls around protecting them...
