55C on a Celeron D...?

Hi,

My Celeron D processor is running 55 degrees C. Is this normal for Celerons, and if not, can you recommend a fan that will get it down to normal temperatures? Absolutely silent isn't necessary if it's not going to cool it down but I don't want a hurricane in there either.

Run a benchmarking app or stress testing program and tell us what the temp is when its under load.

maybe it just doesnt have a fan on the heatsink and its got a passive cooler, they do that sometimes with lower grade processors.

They did that on older processors and on some current server CPU's, but I dont think i've seen a stock passive cooling solution on a Celeron D.
